      <image:title>Blog - What’s a Layne Radlauer?</image:title>
<image:caption>The First Name My first name means “a long, narrow road.” It’s not a predecessor to the more common “Lane,” but a variant of the word before the English language was standardized. I doubt that my mother thought much about long, narrow roads or archaic spellings of pathways when she named me. Here’s the story. My dad and Layne Stanely from Alice and Chains were hanging out one day. The former sent my mom a letter, writing “Layne and I went to so-and-so” in cursive. She liked the way it was written and thus, she chose the name. If you’re curious, my dad and Layne Stanely were good friends. The band even played at my parent’s legendary wedding.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - What’s a Layne Radlauer?</image:title>
<image:caption>The Last Name Radlauer is pronounced rad-lau-er. While unusual, it’s easier to pronounce than it looks. The town of Radlów, nestled in Southern Poland, is probably the home of my familial (not blood-related) ancestors. Like many last names, it was likely anglicanized and given to immigrants. This is complete conjecture. I read an explanation of the now-defunct Radlauer.com. Ancestry and other genealogy websites have more info, but I’m not spending money to fill out this blog post. I’m the only one who’ll read these (if you do, send me an email).</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - Becoming an SEO Content Freelancer</image:title>
<image:caption>Getting an SEO role isn’t easy. Like every job, you’ve got to prove to employers that you’ve got what it takes. While I do have what it takes, I’m sharpening my SEO portfolio. As an aside, this website is an example of that, and I wrote this article to push some internal links. I would’ve written about something more interesting otherwise. I may also put it on a more reputable website than my personal blog.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - Duchess: The Matriarch - This is Duchess.</image:title>
<image:caption>A ferocious feline hailing from the New Mexican desert, Duchess was my first pet. I love her more than almost anything in the world. I’m petting her right now as I write this. For my first blog post on my Pensacola content writer website, she makes a fitting kick-off. She is, at once, a goddess and a layabout. Her deep blue eyes draw the obsession of anyone lucky enough to get her attention, while the little tufts on the tips of her ears are reminiscent of a wild lynx. Her fluffy fur boasts heavy swirls of gray and less gray. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Duchess: The Matriarch - Duchess doesn’t do many cat things. She’s not especially fond of catnip, and she’s never lept on any of the many cat posts I’ve bought her. She mostly just lies on the couch or her orange cube-shaped beanbag chair. The most cat thing she does is bap around a little toy mouse. Upon catching it, she yowls and doesn’t stop until you praise her for her otherworldly hunting skills.</image:title>
